In the past 16th and 17th October, BMW Sailing Cup National Final was held at the Tagus River - Belém.
Established from the regional qualifying stages (held throughout the year) 8 crews showed up in full force, to decide which team would represent BMW Portugal at the International Final (location and date yet to be defined).
With almost perfect wind, currents and sun conditions, supeb regattas were held thropugh the weekend.
The crews of Matos e Prata (Rui Bóia), Banix II (Martinho Fortunato), Evimotors II (José Caldeira) e Caetano Baviera Aveiro (Miguel Paião) advance for the Golden Fleet.
after 2 ofthe 4 regattas sailed of the Golden Fleet, Banix II and Matos e Prata crews were tied in first palce.
After the fourth regatta, Matos e Prata crew (Rui Bóia, Ricardo Pinto, Duarte Neves, Luís Mourão e André Basilio) managed to excel themselves against all others, wining the 2010 BMW Sailing Cup in Portugal.
In second place appeared Evimotors II crew that was able to pass Banix II crew in the last regatta.
On the Silver Fleet, the winner was the M. Coutinho Motors I crew (lead by José Cunha).
